Nuthatch bird strike - A young Nuthatch and its parent hit the window this morning and were both knocked out on the ground. No obvious visible external injuries, I sat where they landed, keeping them warm in a towel, one in each hand, and safe from prey to predators. After about 40 minutes the young Nuthatch managed to fly off, followed by the parent about 15 minutes later, i'm feeling relieved.... Next job on the list is to get back to the sewing machine and make some privacy style curtains, his should help prevent further strikes and keep these little wonders safe from our windows!
